DIY Birthday Gift: Notes in a Jar

Yay!! I'm so glad it's getting warm outside! Here's a cute (maybe last minute) birthday gift idea. I made this for my mom for her birthday. This is also inexpensive if you're low on money, I got everything (except for the paper and markers) in the Target dollar section.

What you'll need / What I used:

  • Glitter bag
  • Cute sequined gift tags
  • Heart top jar
  • Paper
  • Markers, colored pencils, or colorful pens

Directions:

  1. Cut paper into long pieces
  2. Draw polka dots, stripes, or anything else on the pieces of paper with all three colors (one color per strip of paper). I put pink polka dots on some, blue on some, and gray on some.
  3. Pick a subject to put on each color strip. For instance, on the pieces with pink polka dots, I wrote something I loved about my mom; on the blue ones I put a memory of us together; and on the gray ones I wrote something we should do together.
  4. Fold each piece of paper and put them into the jar!

If you want to print out what I put on the jar, it's down below!

Xoxo, Julie
