DIY: How To Make Hair Ties | 3 Easy Steps

I made some hair ties and wanted to show ya'll how to make them (if you don't already know). They don't leave marks in your hair, keep your hair up, and are great gift ideas! Most places usually sell them for a lot more than if you buy your own material and make them yourself. :)
(You might have to click on the picture to see what it says.)
What You'll Need: Fold over elastic, scissors, and a lighter
I also get a lot of my material at Hobby Lobby! It's a lot better because you don't have to pay shipping and they have a lot of different designs.

Step 1: Measure by wrapping material one time around your wrist,
leave about two inches left for the knot and cut.

Step 2: Create the knot you see in the picture.

Step 3: Light the ends of your hair tie to keep them from fraying.
Hold the lighter at least 2 inches away from the ends and
gently melt them , then it will get hardened and not fray!

And then you have a hair tie!!
Sorry if I didn't explain this very well. If you need more help, CLICK HERE to go to a video I found that taught me how to make these. It explains it better. :)
Also, CLICK HERE to go to where I bought my material.

Thanks For Reading!
xoxo, Julie
